Jakarta, February 17, 2025 – The Faculty of Communication Sciences at Tarumanagara University (Fikom Untar) held the online New Student Admission (PMB) for the Master of Communication Science program. This event aimed to introduce the curriculum, learning process, faculty members, student norms, and facilities available for students.
“With great joy, I welcome you to the Master of Communication Science program at Tarumanagara University. You will be the first cohort to make history at Fikom Untar. As pioneers, we will work together to realize the vision and mission of Fikom Untar, guided by the values of integrity, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and humanism,” said Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si., Dean of Fikom Untar.
At the end of her speech, the Dean encouraged students to collaborate with lecturers and hoped that the learning process would be enjoyable. She emphasized that the academic journey should be a meaningful and valuable experience.
Following this, Dr. Sinta Paramita, S.I.P., M.A., presented an overview of the Master of Communication Science curriculum. Students can choose between two areas of concentration: Corporate Strategic Communication and Digital Communication & Media.
“The Master of Communication Science program at Untar also offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), allowing up to 50% of the total credits to be fulfilled through this scheme. RPL can be applied by submitting a portfolio of work experience accumulated over at least five years,” explained Dr. Sinta.
After the presentation, the organizing committee held a discussion and Q&A session led by Dr. Yugih Setyanto, S.Sos., M.Si., to ensure students gained a deeper understanding of the academic process. The first cohort of students also introduced themselves and shared their motivations for pursuing further studies at Fikom Untar.
At the closing of the event, Dr. Yugih encouraged students to embrace their journey and make the most of their experience in the Master of Communication Science program at Untar. (LI)
