The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Tarumanagara University (BEM Fikom Untar) has established a collaboration with the Communication Student Association of Universitas Multimedia Nusantara (I’M KOM UMN) through a benchmarking event held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at UMN. Bearing the tagline “Transforming Connection Into Innovation,” the 2025 Benchmarking Event aimed to optimize inter-organizational relationships as a platform for sharing information, ideas, and experiences to foster deeper synergy.
The event was attended by members of BEM Fikom Untar, I’M KOM UMN, as well as representatives from both universities, including Fikom Untar Lecturer Gregorius Genep Sukendro, S.Sos., M.Si., and UMN Secretary of the Strategic Communication Program Irwan Fakhruddin, S.Sn., M.I.Kom.
In his opening remarks, Gregorius expressed hope that this event would serve as a platform for exchanging information and broadening perspectives. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining effective communication and strengthening future collaborations. By doing so, the synergy established between the two organizations could bring sustainable benefits for program development and long-term partnerships.
The 2025 Benchmarking Event featured a series of activities that actively involved all members of BEM Fikom Untar and I’M KOM UMN. The event began with an introduction to both organizations’ structures, highlighted by unique chants representing each division, followed by a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) engaging all divisions. The atmosphere became even more lively during the interactive games session, and the event concluded with a campus tour around UMN’s facilities.
This initiative was not only a platform for knowledge exchange but also a catalyst for innovation and collaboration. Through active discussions and interactions, the event strengthened inter-organizational relations and opened up broader opportunities for future cooperation.
