Jakarta, October 15, 2025 – The Faculty of Communication, Universitas Tarumanagara (Fikom Untar) continued the third day of Pekan Praktisi 2025 by featuring three outstanding alumni who have successfully built their careers in various fields of creative and communication industries. The event opened with remarks from Fikom Untar lecturer, Diah Ayu Candraningrum, S.T., M.B.A., M.Si., who emphasized the importance of continuous learning through real-world experiences shared by industry practitioners.
“Through this event, students can see how communication science is applied in the dynamic professional world—from business and digital marketing to the global fashion industry,” said Diah Ayu in her opening remarks.
The three speakers were Randy Sugiarto, S.I.Kom. (CEO of Master Culinary Group), Michelle Pangestu, S.I.Kom. (Associate Vice President of Digital Engagement Strategy at IM3), and Natasha Angela, S.I.Kom. (PR & Marketing Executive for Balenciaga, Saint Laurent, Burberry, Gucci, Bottega Veneta, and Alexander McQueen – Gucci Group Indonesia).
Randy shared his success story in building Master Culinary Group and the popular beverage brand Gococo, which now operates dozens of outlets across major cities in Indonesia. He highlighted the power of concept and communication in developing a culinary business.
“In the F&B world, it’s not only about products or recipes, but also about concept and branding. With a strong concept, we can increase a product’s value up to seven times. Gococo also uplifts local products and farmers’ livelihoods by using coconuts sourced from Indonesia’s finest plantations,” Randy explained.
Meanwhile, Michelle Pangestu shared her career journey from advertising to leading digital engagement strategy at IM3. She conveyed her insights on the importance of consistency, strategic thinking, and storytelling in building a strong brand identity.
“A simple value, when consistently resonated, will stick in the minds of consumers. Never stop learning—persistence beats talent. Start by thinking strategically, finding ‘the why’ before ‘the what’, and create content with storytelling that emotionally connects with your audience. Marketing is no longer about the products you sell, but the stories you tell and the relationships you build,” Michelle said.
The third speaker, Natasha Angela, took participants into the world of communication and marketing in the international luxury fashion industry. She explained how brand management, event marketing, and customer experience play crucial roles in maintaining a brand’s image and global value.
“In the luxury industry, we’re not just selling products—we’re selling a lifestyle and values that live within every customer experience,” Natasha explained.
Following the presentations, an interactive discussion took place where participants showed great enthusiasm throughout the session. Students actively asked questions about career strategies, industry challenges, and how to balance creativity with professionalism.
Through this event, Fikom Untar reaffirms its commitment to experiential learning, providing students with real-world insights that prepare them to thrive in a dynamic and competitive professional environment.
