Jakarta, April 11, 2026 — The Student Executive Board of Fikom Untar (BEM Fikom Untar) held a social service activity at the Rumah Asa 2026 event on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Taking place at the Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 3 Social Institution, the event carried the theme “MEMORIA: A Beautiful Day, Full of Stories!” This activity became a moment of joy, togetherness, and warmth, filled with various activities with the elderly at the institution.
The event opened with a speech from the Chief Organizer, Erin, who expressed gratitude and hope that the activity would create beautiful memories. The speech was followed by Sisca Aulia, S.I.Kom., M.Si., Manager of Student Affairs and Alumni, who also appreciated the spirit of togetherness in this activity.
“Activities like this are not only about sharing, but also about learning to understand, to listen, and to build closeness. The hope is that students not only bring programs, but also bring care and happiness to the elderly,” she said.
The series of activities was packaged interactively to encourage active participation from the elderly. It began with group exercise, creating a dynamic atmosphere while building closeness. After that, participants engaged in a fabric collage activity, providing space for creative exploration and personal expression. The atmosphere became even livelier during the sing-along session, where the elderly enthusiastically joined in singing nostalgic songs. The interactions throughout the event created a warm and friendly atmosphere.
In addition to entertainment and creative activities, the committee also handed over donations as a form of support for the residents of the institution. This moment symbolized care and represented the students’ tangible contribution to social and community activities.
Towards the end of the event, a representative of the institution, Sutarno, expressed appreciation for the attention given and explained the conditions of the residents, ranging from independent elderly, those under observation, to those requiring intensive care. The President of BEM Fikom Untar, Chellsy Christine Afandi, also conveyed her hope that the togetherness built would become meaningful memories and bring positive impact to the elderly.
Through Rumah Asa 2026, BEM Fikom Untar presented a social activity that focused not only on programs, but also on the values of togetherness, empathy, and intergenerational interaction.
