Jakarta, May 8, 2025 — The Faculty of Communication Science at Tarumanagara University (Fikom Untar) welcomed an official visit from the Jakarta Provincial Culture Agency to discuss a potential collaboration and support for the upcoming Arunika Communication Week 2025. The meeting, held at Untar’s Main Building, was attended by Galih Hutama Putra, S.Hum., Head of the Partnership Subdivision, Development Division, Jakarta Culture Agency.
Representing Fikom Untar were Head of the Communication Science Program Dr. Sinta Paramita, MA, Program Secretary Dr. Wulan Purnama Sari, M.Si. along with course coordinators for the Communication Program Implementation subject, Septia Winduwati, M.Si., and Farid Rusdi, M.Si. Also present was Diah Ayu Candraningrum, S.T., M.B.A., M.Si., Coordinator of Cooperation Affairs at Fikom Untar. They presented the concept of Arunika Fest, which forms a key part of the broader Communication Week event.
The discussion was warm and constructive, focusing on potential forms of support and program synergy between the Jakarta Culture Agency and Fikom Untar, especially in promoting cultural preservation values among the younger generation and implementing cultural advancement efforts.
“The Culture Agency is very open to forming strategic partnerships with all sectors of society that share the mission of advancing culture. Collaborating with educational institutions like Fikom Untar in cultural activities creates space for synergy between the government and academia. In the future, the scope of collaboration may extend beyond cultural events to include research, community service, student internships, and academic seminars,” said Galih.
Arunika Fest 2025 is scheduled to take place on June 5, 2025, at Gandaria City Mall, South Jakarta. This cultural festival will feature traditional dance performances, regional cuisine, folk games, and two cultural competitions aimed at students and community groups.
This collaboration is expected to serve as a meaningful contribution between the academic community and local government in strengthening national cultural identity through educational, creative, and inclusive activities (SW).
