The Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom) of Tarumanagara University (Untar) held an annual work meeting attended by lecturers and education staff, Monday (2/6/2025) at the Fikom Untar campus. The meeting, which lasted for two days, became a strategic momentum to evaluate performance achievements and formulate development directions for 2026, both in academic and non-academic aspects.
Untar Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Amat Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., in his remarks emphasized the importance of innovation that is adaptive to the times. “Fikom must make academic innovations that are in line with developments that can attract graduates,” he said. He also emphasized the importance of synergy in the campus environment in order to build Untar’s reputation in the future.
He also expressed his appreciation for Fikom’s contribution in academics and non-academically for Untar at the same time. “I hope Fikom will remain the main choice for graduates who want to continue their education in the field of communication,” he concluded.
Dean of Fikom Dr. Riris Loisa., M.Si invited lecturers and education staff at Fikom to continue to move forward and see opportunities for development. He emphasized the importance of building a spirit of noble character as a foundation for work. Meanwhile, in the report of the Head of the Communication Science Study Program Dr. Sinta Paramita., S.IP., MA, he presented the achievements that Fikom Untar had achieved throughout 2024. Although many things have been achieved, according to him, there are also many challenges that must be faced.
“Every problem faced is a path to innovation. We must not stop at obstacles, but instead make them triggers for change,” he said.
This work meeting is expected to be a starting point for Fikom Untar in strengthening the quality of education, expanding cooperation, and creating an academic atmosphere that supports Untar’s reputation as a leading university in Indonesia. (YS)
