Jakarta, 15 November 2025 — Another proud achievement has been made by Restiani Nur Freta Anastasia, a 2023 student of the Faculty of Communication, Universitas Tarumanagara (Fikom Untar). Restiani successfully earned the Bronze Medal in the French Cookies class at The 7th LaCuisine Competition 2025, one of the prestigious culinary competitions held as part of the international exhibition SIAL Interfood.
SIAL Interfood is an international food and beverage exhibition organized by Krista Exhibitions in collaboration with SIAL Group/Comexposium. The event brings together thousands of F&B industry players from various countries, with the LaCuisine Competition as one of its flagship programs. This competition gathers culinary professionals to showcase their creativity, techniques, and innovation through live cooking challenges judged by national and international experts.
A Consistent Track Record of Achievement
This year’s accomplishment adds to Restiani’s growing list of achievements. Previously, at The 6th LaCuisine Competition 2024, she won two bronze medals in the Sasa Asian Laksa or Curry category and the San Remo Asian Pasta with Chicken Junior category. Her ability to maintain strong performance in the same competition in 2025 demonstrates her dedication and consistency in the culinary field.
In an interview, Restiani shared that her motivation for joining the competition was to sharpen her skills, channel her passion for cooking, and represent her institution on an international level. For her, the most interesting yet challenging part was the intensive training period.
“In one day, I can train for 6–12 hours to achieve the best results. One month before the competition, I often struggled to sleep because I had to prepare the plating and display theme,” she said.
Her determination and discipline became the key to her success on the international culinary competition stage.
Pride for Herself, Her Parents, and Her University
This victory brought great joy to Restiani. She expressed pride in being able to carry her name into the professional and international arena while also making her parents and campus proud.
“Of course, I’m very happy because I can bring my name into the professional and international world. I’m also proud to make my parents and campus proud on a broader scale. Additionally, I gained many new insights that enriched my culinary journey,” she added.
At the end of the interview, Restiani shared an inspiring message for students and young people who wish to pursue their passion:
“Great results come from consistent effort, not comfort. Keep chasing your passion, and the path ahead will become clear.”
Restiani’s accomplishments serve as a testament that hard work and consistency can bring young Indonesian talents to shine on the international stage. Congratulations to Restiani on this remarkable achievement! (MA/LI)
