Bekasi, February 27, 2026 — The Student Activity Unit of the Faculty of Communication (UKMF TV), Faculty of Communication, Universitas Tarumanagara, has successfully held an industry visit program entitled “TV FIKOM Goes To Media: Exploring The Unseen, Telling The Untold.”
This activity was conducted as a form of experiential learning for FIKOM UNTAR students, aiming to provide deeper insight into the media industry and its working environment amid rapid technological development.
The media visit was held at Sinemaku Pictures, which served as the main destination of the program. Through this visit, students had the opportunity to observe firsthand how professional workflows are carried out in the broadcasting and media production industry, ranging from creative processes to technical production stages. This experience served as an important bridge between the theories learned in the classroom and real-world industry practices.
Desvira Fajrien Sumarna, as the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, stated that TV FIKOM Goes To Media was designed to broaden students’ perspectives while equipping them with a realistic understanding of the dynamics of working in the media industry
“We hope that this program not only increases students’ knowledge but also helps build their mental and professional readiness to face the working world,” she explained.
In addition to enhancing students’ understanding of the broadcasting and media production industry, the program also aimed to develop teamwork, leadership, and effective communication skills among participants. Throughout the activity, students were encouraged to actively engage in discussions, observe production processes, and understand the roles of each division within a professional media team.
Through the successful implementation of TV Goes To Media, UKMF TV FIKOM UNTAR hopes that Communication Science students of Universitas Tarumanagara will gain a clearer perspective on career opportunities in the media industry and become graduates who are more prepared, adaptive, and competent in facing future professional challenges.
