Sukabumi, May 9, 2026 \u2014 I-Focus, the Student Activity Unit of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Tarumanagara University, successfully held a photography hunting event titled <\/span>Lost in Sukabumi<\/span><\/i> on May 8\u20139, 2026. The event served as a platform for participants to explore and develop their photography skills through direct experiences at various natural destinations and urban areas in Sukabumi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carrying the concept of nature and urban exploration, <\/span>Lost in Sukabumi<\/span><\/i> encouraged participants not only to capture images, but also to capture stories, atmospheres, and the unique character of each location visited.<\/span><\/p>\n

The journey began from Tarumanagara University to the Geopark Ciletuh area, one of Sukabumi\u2019s leading natural tourism destinations. Upon arrival, participants held a photo hunting session at Puncak Darma, featuring panoramic views of hills, vast oceans, and natural scenery from above. The location became one of the participants\u2019 favorite spots to explore landscape photography techniques and visual composition.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event then continued to Curug Sodong and Curug Cikanteh. In addition to photography sessions, participants also joined a trekking activity to the waterfall areas, allowing them to directly experience nature exploration. The moment became an opportunity for participants to practice their creativity while capturing the beauty of nature from various angles and perspectives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Towards the evening, participants headed to Palangpang Beach to capture the sunset moment. The evening light and beach atmosphere provided a different photography experience through the exploration of silhouettes, natural lighting, and seaside panoramas during golden hour.<\/span><\/p>\n

At night, all participants joined a series of internal activities at the villa, including welcoming remarks from the chief organizer and supervising lecturer, a photo curation session, games, and a bonding session. These activities became a space for evaluating participants\u2019 works while also strengthening relationships among members through shared learning and creative experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

I Gusti Ngurah Krishna, Chief Organizer of I-Focus Grand Hunting 2026, stated that the event was expected to become a valuable experience for all participants in developing their creativity and photography skills.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThrough this event, we hope participants can become more confident in exploring their creativity and understand that photography is not only about taking pictures, but also about capturing stories and experiences from every journey,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On the second day, the activity continued with a photo hunting session around Sukabumi City Square. Unlike the first day, which focused on natural panoramas, this session introduced participants to street photography and urban photography through the exploration of community activities, city atmosphere, and social interactions in public spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through <\/span>Lost in Sukabumi<\/span><\/i>, I-Focus hopes participants can further develop their technical photography skills, broaden their visual exploration experiences, and build stronger relationships and togetherness among members through the process of traveling and creating together.
