On August 31, 2024, Fikom Untar held an online Parent Meeting for New Students of the Odd Semester for the 2024/2025 Academic Year. This event aimed to introduce the campus’ academic and non-academic environment to the parents of new students, as well as to provide information about the learning system that their children would encounter.
The meeting was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and staff who explained various important aspects related to the academic program, ranging from the curriculum, campus facilities, to the support systems available for students. The Dean of Fikom Untar, Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si., opened the event with a warm greeting and welcomed the new students and their families. She emphasized the importance of collaboration between the campus and parents in supporting the academic and character development of students.
In addition, a question-and-answer session was held to allow parents to ask questions about academics, finances, and student activities. The faculty also introduced counseling and academic guidance services provided to help students adapt to the new academic environment.
This event is expected to strengthen the relationship between the faculty and parents, as well as create a supportive environment for students to achieve success during their studies. Despite being held online, the meeting ran smoothly with high enthusiasm from the participants, who actively engaged in the discussions.
Through this meeting, the faculty hopes that parents can better understand their role in supporting their children’s learning process, thus creating a positive synergy between home and campus (LI).
