Exploring Core Motives and Personal Strengths in Team Building Activities

Tangerang, November 30, 2024 – Fikom Untar recently held a team-building event for lecturers and staff at Aryaduta Country Club. This annual team-building activity aims to foster stronger work and personal relationships within teams. Additionally, the event serves to enhance personal development, performance, and more effective and efficient communication.

This year’s team-building event was conducted in collaboration with Aethra Learning Center, Indonesia’s first human resource development agency based on positive psychology. Aethra Learning Center aims to help clients achieve competitive advantages and optimal performance by enriching and empowering their psychological competencies and soft skills through inspiring learning experiences in a safe and effective learning environment.

Guided by Aethra Learning Center, all participants explored their personalities using the ColorCode Personality Science Assessment, a tool that helps individuals understand themselves and rationalize their core motives in work relationships. The assessment classifies personalities into four colors: red, blue, white, and yellow.

“By detecting core motives, we can better understand ourselves and others, increasing the likelihood of eliciting desired responses,” said William Sulivan Budiman, Founder of Aethra Learning Center.

Participants were also encouraged to identify their intrinsic strengths and primary powers, as well as how their strengths might intersect or clash with those of their colleagues. However, these clashes are accompanied by synergy, which arises from overlapping strengths among team members, ultimately making work more enjoyable.

“Hopefully, we can learn more about ourselves and our colleagues, develop effective and efficient communication, and strengthen both professional and personal relationships. And, of course, have even more fun!” said Septia Winduwati, S.Sos., M.Si., Chair of the Team Building Committee.

Fikom Untar lecturer Zita Hapsari, S.Pd., M.Si., M.S., also shared her thoughts: “Thank you to the committee for organizing such a fantastic event. Thank you to all the participants. May we continue to build better and more communicative relationships with enthusiasm and solidarity.”

Through this activity, Fikom Untar continues to grow by nurturing individuals who are humanistic and full of integrity, while strengthening team connections. Fikom Untar, Unstoppable! (LI)
