The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Tarumanagara University (BEM Fikom Untar) successfully held its biggest annual event, Fikom Expo 2026. Carrying the theme “SENARIA: One Space, Many Flavors,” the event collaborated with five Faculty Student Activity Units (UKMF), namely PRO, I-Focus, TV Fikom, Creadzy, and Oranye, to create a creative space for students and the wider community.
Held on May 23–24, 2026, at the North Lobby of Mall Taman Anggrek, Fikom Expo 2026 introduced a unique indoor picnic concept that created an engaging and interactive atmosphere. The event also served as a bridge connecting both internal and external parties of Fikom Untar, including invited guests, MSMEs, sponsors, and media partners.
Prior to the main event, the committee organized a pre-event campaign titled “Take It or Love It” from May 5–7, 2026, at the hallway of Building P, Tarumanagara University. Interactive games such as Pick & Luck, Lemon Coin, and Glub-Glub Coin successfully attracted enthusiastic participation from students. Participants not only enjoyed the activities but also received attractive accessories and shopping vouchers for the main bazaar.
The official opening ceremony began with speeches from the Chairman of Fikom Expo 2026, Josh Mourinho, and the Head of Communication Science Undergraduate Program at Fikom Untar, Dr. Wulan Purnama Sari, S.I.Kom., M.Si. In her speech, Dr. Wulan expressed her hope that Fikom Untar students would continue to develop motivation, creativity, and innovation in pursuing their skills and future businesses. The opening ceremony was symbolized by a cake decoration session.
Josh Mourinho, the Chairman of Fikom Expo 2026, also stated that the event was designed to become a space where students could express their creativity while strengthening togetherness.
“Through Fikom Expo 2026, we hope to create an experience that is not only entertaining, but also serves as a platform for collaboration, creativity, and student development,” said Josh.
Throughout the two-day event, visitors enjoyed a variety of activities, including talk shows from the five UKMFs, student performances, creative workshops, and live music performances. The Bento Cake Painting Workshop by Someone Space and the Matcha Workshop with Chiyori became major highlights that encouraged visitors to explore their creativity.
The excitement continued with an energetic performance by Jakarta-based pop group HalloHexa and a flash mob performance from the Fikom Expo 2026 committee. In his closing speech, Josh expressed gratitude to the committee members, MSMEs, sponsors, media partners, and all supporting parties who contributed to the success of the event.
“We hope that Fikom Expo 2026 can become a positive step in introducing Fikom Untar to the wider community while also creating valuable experiences for all students involved,” he added.
Through the SENARIA theme, Fikom Expo 2026 once again demonstrated the creativity of Fikom Untar students through a meaningful combination of culinary arts, creativity, and togetherness. (AB/FD)
