Jakarta, September 2026 — The Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering an academic and research culture through its performance in the Science and Technology Index (SINTA), an information system developed to measure and monitor science and technology performance in Indonesia.
Based on SINTA data, the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara recorded an overall SINTA Score of 17,633, with a 3-Year SINTA Score of 7,968. Meanwhile, the Master’s Communication Science Study Program achieved an overall SINTA Score of 8,574, with a 3-Year SINTA Score of 3,870.
The Overall SINTA Score represents cumulative performance, while the 3-Year SINTA Score reflects performance achieved over the past three years. Therefore, these achievements not only demonstrate the academic track record that has been built over time but also reflect more recent research and publication activities.
SINTA assessment does not focus solely on the number of publications. The system integrates various scholarly information sources, including Scopus, Google Scholar, and Garuda, allowing the performance of academic communities to be mapped based on publications and their impact through citations. In the profiles of Communication Science faculty members at Universitas Tarumanagara, for example, SINTA also displays metrics such as the Overall SINTA Score, 3-Year SINTA Score, Affiliation Score, as well as the number of publications and citations from various indexing sources.
“The 2nd National Ranking in SINTA serves as a reminder that consistent collective effort never fails to yield results. Moving forward, the Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara will continue to grow, develop, and work together to further improve its quality and make greater contributions in the future,” said Dr. Wulan Purnama Sari, S.I.Kom., M.Si., Head of the Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara.
This performance is also reflected in the publication productivity of the academic community within the Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Tarumanagara. SINTA data shows various studies conducted by Communication Science faculty members at Universitas Tarumanagara and published in accredited journals. This achievement is part of the Study Program’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the university’s three pillars of higher education, particularly in research and the development of communication science. Through scholarly publications, research relevant to societal developments, and continuous improvements in journal quality and citation impact, the Faculty of Communication Science at Universitas Tarumanagara continues to encourage its academic community to produce work that not only meets academic standards but also contributes to the advancement of communication science.
For the Communication Science Study Program, the SINTA achievement is more than just a number. It represents the consistency of its academic community in conducting research, writing, publishing, and generating knowledge that can be accessed and utilized by society and the academic community.
