IFocus Fikom Untar Held Comparative Study with Obscura Photography

One of the Student Activity Units (UKM) of the Faculty of Communication Science, Tarumanagara University, IFocus, successfully organized a comparative study program with Obscura Photography from Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN). This event, themed LENS: Let’s Explore N Share, took place at UMN on Friday, February 28, 2025.

The comparative study program aimed to exchange information and knowledge regarding the structure and activities of each organization. IFocus 2025’s comparative study was held to broaden perspectives, enhance organizational management skills, and learn the best strategies for running a Photography UKM.

The event began with an opening by the MC, represented by members of IFocus and Obscura, followed by a welcoming speech from the Head of the IFocus 2025 Comparative Study Committee, Nisrina Nabilah. In her speech, she expressed her appreciation to Obscura Photography for the opportunity given. “We are very grateful for this opportunity. Hopefully, this collaboration will be beneficial for both UKMs and open up further opportunities for future partnerships,” said Nisrina. The event ran smoothly thanks to the support from both universities and the active participation of all members of IFocus and Obscura Photography.

More than just an exchange of information, this comparative study also provided an opportunity for IFocus and Obscura Photography to share ideas to improve the quality of their respective UKMs. The collaboration with Obscura Photography UMN is expected to provide new perspectives that will be beneficial for IFocus, helping them better understand the workings, programs, and management of a Photography UKM effectively. With the governance system implemented, IFocus hopes that Obscura Photography can serve as a learning platform to improve and enhance its organizational operations. Through this event, IFocus gained new insights into organizational structure, workflow, photography knowledge, and various activities carried out by Obscura Photography.

This comparative study marks a positive step for both UKMs in strengthening relationships and improving the quality of organization and management of Photography UKMs within their respective campuses. Moving forward, it is hoped that the collaboration between IFocus and Obscura Photography will continue to grow with various other collaborative programs. (IF/MN)
