Jakarta, May 6, 2025 – The Public Relations Organization (PRO), a student activity unit under the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Tarumanagara University (Fikom Untar), held its second PRO’s Day Out event with the theme “SIGMA: Youth Synergy in Technology and Digital Banking Strategy Innovation” at the head office of CIMB Niaga Bank. The event aimed to broaden students’ understanding of public relations and innovative strategies in strengthening digital branding within the banking industry.
Friskilla Ama Maria H. B., Talent Partnership Head at CIMB Niaga, warmly welcomed the visiting students. The event was also attended by Fikom Untar lecturer Zita Retno Hapsari, S.Pd., M.Si., M.S., who accompanied the group throughout the event.
“I hope this event becomes a valuable opportunity for us to explore the role of public relations in the professional world and to learn how CIMB Niaga leverages technological innovation to maintain its corporate image,” said Audrey Regina, Chair of the Committee, in her opening remarks.
The session continued with a company profile presentation delivered by Tri Wulandari, Talent Partnership Specialist at CIMB Niaga. The presentation covered the company’s history, training programs, and available facilities. The main event featured a talk show with Jessica Alfreda, also a Talent Partnership Specialist at CIMB Niaga. In her presentation, Jessica shared insights and strategies on how public relations play a vital role in strengthening the company’s branding in a creative and adaptive way in the digital era.
“Public Relations at CIMB Niaga prioritizes creativity and agility. Without adaptability, we will fall behind—especially when engaging with the highly dynamic Gen Z and Gen A audiences,” Jessica noted.
The talk show concluded with a Q&A session and a plaque presentation. The event continued with a “Word Arrangement” game, group photo session, door prize draw, and a Virtual Reality (VR) experience simulating customer service training. The day wrapped up with a guided tour of the CIMB Niaga workspace.
Through PRO’s Day Out 2: SIGMA, PRO Fikom Untar hopes that participants gain a deeper understanding of the skills needed to navigate professional challenges, especially in the fields of public relations and digital communication. (MN/LI)
