Fikom Untar will soon open a Master’s Program in Communication Studies after receiving the Decree (SK) from the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Mendikbudristek). The decree was handed over by the Head of the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDikti) Region III to Untar’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., on Monday (30/9/2024) at the LLDikti III office.
The Head of LLDikti III reminded all universities that have just received their decree to uphold the trust and responsibility that has been granted. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the quality of their programs through internal quality assurance standards.
“Manage the programs according to the internal quality assurance standards of each university,” he advised.
On this occasion, Untar’s Rector expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Education and LLDikti III for the trust in managing this new program. The handover ceremony was also attended by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Rasji, S.H., M.H., Fikom Dean Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si., and Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Communication Studies Dr. Sinta Paramita, S.IP., M.A.
“The Master’s Program in Communication Studies is planned to commence in the upcoming even semester next year. The registration process will open soon,” revealed the Dean of Fikom.
In addition to Untar, nine other universities received decrees from the Head of LLDikti Region III, representing various academic disciplines. Untar itself has received two new program decrees this month. In total, Untar now offers 32 programs across eight faculties and its Graduate School.
Following the ceremony, a thanksgiving event with a symbolic cutting of “tumpeng” was held to celebrate the launch of the new program at Untar. The Rector, the Head of LLDikti Region III, along with staff and employees, participated in the celebration.
“Hopefully, Untar will continue to contribute to the country, particularly in education at the master’s level,” the Rector stated briefly before cutting the tumpeng. (YS)
