Jakarta, June 6, 2026 – Health is a state of physical and mental well-being that enables individuals to live productive lives. In support of a healthy lifestyle, the Faculty of Communication Sciences of Tarumanagara University (Fikom Untar) once again presented Young Suka Lari as part of the Communication Week 2026 series.
Carrying the theme “One Step, A Million Stories” and the concept of “Color Your Emotion,” the event encouraged participants, known as Younners, to recognize and embrace the various emotions they experience. Through the use of colors representing different emotions, Younners were invited to understand that everyone has their own unique journey and story. This concept reinforces the message that health is not only related to physical well-being but also to mental health, both of which should be maintained in balance.
A total of 437 participants, consisting of Untar students and members of the general public, took part in the 5-kilometer run. In addition to the running event, participants enjoyed a variety of entertainment activities, including student talent performances, guest star appearances, a Zumba session presented by FitHub, DJ performances, and a door prize giveaway supported by event sponsors, all of which added to the festive atmosphere.
Young Suka Lari 2026 also continued its collaboration with Sunset Avenue Citra 8 and Citra Garden City, with support from Ciputra Hospital and Ciputra Cardiac Center, providing free health check-ups for all attending Younners. Representing Citra Garden City, Samuel expressed his support and appreciation for the implementation of Young Suka Lari 2026. Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at Tarumanagara University, Dr. Sinta Paramita, S.I.P., M.A., emphasized that Young Suka Lari serves as a platform for students to apply the communication competencies they have learned throughout their studies.
“Young Suka Lari serves as a creative platform for Fikom Untar students to implement the communication knowledge they have acquired and transform it into a program that promotes public health,” said Sinta.
Support was also provided by Citra 8 as the venue partner. Samuel, Estate Manager of Citra 8, expressed his appreciation for the ongoing collaboration with Young Suka Lari.
“I would also like to thank all participants who helped enliven this program and took the time to attend the event at Citra 8,” he stated.
As the Project Leader of Young Suka Lari 2026, Keiko emphasized that the event was designed to be an inclusive space for people of all ages.
“Young Suka Lari invites people from all age groups to relive their youthful spirit while introducing Fikom Untar’s stage of creativity to the wider community. We also hope that this event series can contribute to improving both physical and mental well-being,” said Keiko.
This year’s event was further supported by the Adventure Runners Community, which actively participated in ensuring the success of the program. The collaboration represents an effort to strengthen a healthy and active lifestyle culture within society while enhancing students’ communication skills through partnership-building and collaboration.
Through Young Suka Lari 2026, Fikom Untar remains committed to raising public awareness of the importance of an active lifestyle while supporting Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3: Good Health and Well-Being. The event is expected to inspire future communication students to channel their creativity and make meaningful contributions through collaborations with both internal and external stakeholders.
