JAKARTA – The Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom) at Tarumanagara University (Untar) supported student entrepreneurship development through its participation in the 22nd Entrepreneur Week (E-Week), organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Untar from May 26–29, 2026, at Emporium Pluit Mall, North Jakarta.
Carrying the theme “Adapt, Survive, and Thrive: An Entrepreneurship Exhibition,” the event served as a platform for students to apply entrepreneurial knowledge through interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition to Fikom, the event involved the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) and the Faculty of Engineering (FT).
The collaboration resulted in various creative products and booth concepts developed by students. Participants were not only responsible for designing products but also for marketing and selling them directly to visitors, allowing them to gain hands-on business experience in a real market environment.
During the opening ceremony, Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized that Entrepreneur Week is part of the university’s effort to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students through experiential learning.
“Through Entrepreneur Week, students can develop their entrepreneurial spirit while gaining direct experience in managing and operating a business,” he said.
On the same occasion, Dr. Ronnie Resdianto Masman, S.E., M.A., M.M., explained that Entrepreneur Week serves as a business simulation designed to prepare students for the professional business world.
“We hope this simulation can equip students with valuable experience to develop their own businesses in the future. In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of products and innovations showcased throughout the event,” he stated.
Before participating in the exhibition, students were required to prepare business plans, develop products under the guidance of lecturers and mentors, and design marketing strategies. They then carried out business simulations in a real market setting. In the final stage, students presented their business projects and prepared evaluation reports as part of the learning process.
The 22nd Entrepreneur Week reflects the implementation of Untar’s core values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship (IPE), which form an essential foundation of the university’s educational approach. Through this event, students are expected to enhance their creativity, entrepreneurial skills, and readiness to face future challenges in the business and professional world.
